Howdy all!
Still working at the hotel. It has been over two years now without a day off. I'm beat, I don't know the last time I was able to sleep a full night. Its hard to write, or be spiritual, or get in touch with nature. I had a job interview...maybe that will pan out, and I can write freely again.
Its raining outside right now. I love the smell, and the sounds of rain. Things are starting to turn green, there's new life again in the world. It gets my thoughts turning, and churning. I'm still not sure where this long strange journey leads, I can barely see to the next bend in the road. But down it we'll walk. Leaning more away from "wiccan" type structure currently. Wandering down a more "shamanistic" path. We'll see where that leads, but I feel the pull. Sadly every time I try and meditate the phone rings, or someone bothers me in some other way, so sometimes it feels like one step forward and two steps back.

January's Full Moon
Wondering what to do with the upcoming full moon?
The upcoming full moon on January 9th is sometimes called the Cold Moon, or the Wolf Moon. This is the time of year when the great sleep has kicked in, and we're all feeling a bit sluggish. Just as the cold outside causes the plants and animals in the area to slow down growth, and hibernate, we naturally want to do the same thing. It helps us preserve the warmth we have, and conserve the food that instinctually we know is scarcer this time of year. Just because we're in a global society now more then ever doesn't change that our genetic coding tells us this is the time to slow down, and plan for the thaw.
This is part of the reason we stop and take stock of the past year, and make resolutions for the future. As your thoughts turn inward, this is a good time to develop your inner self, your spirituality, and work on being closer to deities in your life. Maybe you've realized you need to make a change, this is a good time to get started.
This is a good time to work on magic related to protection. Both physical and spiritual protection. Let the powers that be know you're in touch with yourself, and them this season, as you howl at the Wolf Moon. Just don't forget to dress warm!

Just stopped in...
Just a break from working and writing on my Nano. I've managed to hit 5,000 words, which I think is better then last year! Hurrah!
I haven't had any comments yet (as I write this) on my last post. So I was wondering if it was to dark, or if people who wanted some sort of vengeance were afraid to speak up, some other thing, or all of the above? So I went digging through my stats, and most of the visitors to my blog since I wrote that post, didn't even see that post. They're reading stuff I wrote months ago! lol
Well, I guess I'm glad to just have visitors, and maybe they'll stick around for longer, and read more.
Better get back to the novel, I'm still around 9,000 behind for finishing on time!

Happy Halloween!
It's Halloween, or All Hallows Eve, and while I live in an area where I can't really find a group of...open minded individuals to visit with (in town anyway, I could drive about 80 miles and find a few) on this day, I can write a post.

Writing...
69 days left until the start of NaNoWriMo again!
Have you started planning, plotting, thinking about what you're going to write this year? Last year I didn't quite make it 1/2 way, this year, its 50,000 words or bust! I'm even thinking about trying to have a writing event here! If you didn't realize it was so soon, don't worry, you still have two months to decide what you're going to write about.
Not sure what it is? Check out http://www.nanowrimo.org/. In a nutshell, its NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth. You produce a work of fiction, 50,000 words in length during the month of November. It has to be entirely original, and while you can have an outline, you're not allowed to write one word of prose until November first.

Full Moon
The full moon is fading again, but there was some amazing energy left behind this month. There have been several thunderstorms the last few nights, the meteor shower, and some intense vibes. We didn't see many meteors, between the storm clouds, and the bright light from the moon. The way it lit up the countryside was great though. The light was almost tangible.

Sorta back!
Howdy all. I know it has been awhile, and I apologize for that. Between job hunting, moving, and starting a new (and sometimes hectic) job, I haven't really had the time to write. I've also been pretty depressed, so it was hard to feel inspired to write much of anything.
I got a new android phone, and have the blogger app. So even if I can't write a whole post all the time, I'm hoping to use my phone to at least be able to write some drafts that I can polish up when I get to the computer. Anyone out there had much success with blogging from your phone?
That's all for now. Time to post this and see how it comes out.
